OBJECTS OF EVIDENCE
In longhouse 11-B, among the foreign objects, the following were found:
(1) A sleeve of a composite tool where metal was inserted at other times.(2) A small wood figurine (Smaller than a thumb).(3) Two sets of glass beads (50 total) in six colors.The beads could not be dated.(4) An arrow designed to hold a metal arrowhead.The condition of the arrow did not permit keeping the object as found.(5) A piece of copper. The copper is thought to have been made in 1000-1100 in Europe. The Eskimos may have secured it from the Norse in Greenland. Back Shawnees Home
