A book, Profiles of Wisdom, at this web site shows a primstav held by an Algonquin, "The oral tradition that has been kept alive with this staff says that our Algonquin ancestors met, traded with and communicated with the Vikings between 1000 and 1100 AD and that we both have the same Gods and thus we are brothers."
